Kamloops is BC's second-sunniest city with 2000+ hours of sunshine annually! What's one to do with all that nice weather? Well, we're here to help.

  • British Columbia Wildlife Park
The British Columbia Wildlife Park is an interactive place to learn about the animals that inhabit our beautiful province. Take a ride on the Wildlife Express Miniature Train and explore the 100+ acres to view wolves, bison, moose, birds of prey, reptiles and more!

  • Sun Peaks Resort
Sun Peaks Resort, located one hour from Kamloops, is a family friendly destination where you can ski, bike, hike, golf or check out one of the many special events. Sun Peaks is home to several amazing dining options and hosts annual food and wine festivals.

  • Kenna Cartwright Nature Park
Kenna Cartwright Nature Park is the largest municipal park in BC. This park offers an extensive network of nature trails for hikers, mountain bikers, walkers, families, and dogs. There are many breathtaking views of the Thompson Valley and Kamloops as well as several benches and picnic tables where you can catch your breath or have a snack. There are no technical or extreme rated trails found in the park.

  • Edith Lake
Edith Lake is located 25 minutes west of Kamloops off Highway 5A (known to locals as the Old Fishing Highway). The recreation site boasts camping for 15 spots, day-use areas with picnic tables, a fishing dock, and three boat launches. Kamloops Rainbow and Brook Trout are stocked year-round so you're almost guaranteed a good fishing story!

  • Kamloops Golf & Country Club
Kamloops Golf & Country Club is Kamloops’ oldest golf course! Founded in 1914, this club is a par 72 Championship course that has great history. It is known for its easy walking and park-like setting. Enjoy the abundance of wildlife which includes eagles, ducks, and blackbirds, along with the odd sightings of bear and deer.
