Letter Received from Couple Saved

 

"Attention: Company Owner and Management

Dear Sirs:

 

We would like to highlight and commend John Angus and two of his crew members, Richard and Troy. We are lucky to be alive because of their quick actions and give thanks for their incredibly fast responsiveness.

 

On March 27th, 2026, we were approaching Chase BC, when my husband fell asleep at the wheel, resulting in us overturning and crashing into the gully. John and his crew saw the smoke coming from the ditch, grabbed their fire extinguisher and started putting out the smoke by the car. They needed a larger extinguisher, went back to get one and started reassuring us that we would be okay. John broke the glass and kept talking to us the whole time and then they cleared the brush around the car for the first responders

 

John and his crew saved our lives at the car crash site. They went above and beyond to help us and are our heroes.

 

Please recognize your crew and if there is an award for heroism or bravery, they deserve it.

 

We are not sure if BC recognizes heroes at certain times throughout the year. But if they do, we would highly recommend that John and his crew become recipients of such an award.

 

My husband and I were taken to Kamloops Royal Inland Hospital where I spent the next two weeks in the neurosurgery ward recovering from my spinal injuries. Jim was assessed and discharged. Two weeks later we flew home to Gimli, Manitoba and will never forget the heroism of John and his crew!

 

I am still in recovery mode but progressing well.
